We operate two Learjet 35A’s. These are dedicated permanently configured air ambulances with speeds of 840 kilometres per hour and cruise altitude of up to 45000 ft. Each aircraft has the capacity for one stretcher patient, with two medical crew members and one passenger.
The aircraft are configured as standard with a single patient capacity stretcher system with electrical power, integrated oxygen supply, suction and medical air system. Combined with the portable medical equipment storage system and loading ramp, easy and safe patient loading is facilitated.
The medical unit has an integrated supply of 3 300 litres of oxygen. Additional, independently stowed oxygen can be carried in the aft baggage compartment of the aircraft for longer flights.
Universal Air Evac has a strategic partnership with EMER-G-MED AMBULANCE services in South Africa. This partnership ensures that the best equipped ambulances are used to transport our patients from Lanseria Airport to the requested receiving hospital around Gauteng.
